Today we celebrate Earth Day! On this ocasion Privredna banka Zagreb, Banca Intesa Beograd, Intesa SanPaolo Slovenia and Intesa Sanpaolo Bank Albania together with other Intesa Sanpaolo International Subsidiary Banks, have taken part in WWF Adria’s Earth Day initiative, aiming to raise awareness of key environmental issues with the focus on biodiversity, promoting responsible sustainable practices among bank consumers, and mobilizing them to use digital services with lower ecological footprint. Also, specific funds for WWF projects in Albania, Croatia, Hungary, Serbia and Slovenia are mobilized as well.

The focus in Albania is on protection of Adriatic Sea through sustainable fisheries, while in Croatia, Serbia and Slovenia we are focused on protection of Amazon of Europe, the 5-country biosphere reserve Mura-Drava-Danube recognized by UNESCO.

The bank is inviting all clients to join the initiative by opting for Digital banking.

Our relationship with nature is broken. Biodiversity – the rich diverse life on Earth – is being lost at an alarming rate. Decline in wildlife populations of 68%* on average since 1970 affects not only the state of nature but our own health and well-being, too. This Earth Day, CIB Bank together with other Intesa Sanpaolo International Subsidiary Banks decided to support WWF in our actions to band the curve of biodiversity loss.
